The notion of foodscape enables us to see that global flows of people, money, ideas and technology converge unpredictably in ways that influence the way we eat what we do. Foodscape extends the study of food from a long-standing internal focus on individual and community identity to incorporating ways of understanding the larger, external social power structures at work.
